The rural clan of the Agotime traditional area in the Volta Region has installed a new Chief as part of the traditional preparation toward the burial of the late Konor, Nene Nuer Keteku III.

A press statement issued by the funeral planning committee indicated that the kingmakers has installed a 45-year-old Educationist, Mr Wisdom Lord Atsu Keteku , as the Konor with the traditional name as Nene Nuer Keteku IV.

AGOTIME TRADITIONAL AREA OUTDOORS NEW KONOR (PARAMOUNT CHIE F), NENE NUER KETEKU IV

As part of traditional rites leading to the funeral of Nene Nuer Keteku Ill, the Akumase Clan of Kpetoe, led by its Paramount Stool Father, Zikpuitor Hayford Kwame Wayo outdoored today, Mr. Wisdom Lord Atsu Keteku, a 45-year-old Educationist as the new Konor (Para mo unt Chief) of the Agotime Traditional Area. In line with tradition, his enstoolment took place at the fore court of Nene Nuer Keteku Ill, his immediate successor.

The new Konor holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Education Winne b a, having earlier attended the Jasikan Training College where he trained as a Profe ssional Teacher. Until his enstoolment, he was the Headmaster of Mawuli Basic “A” Complex School, Ho. As a royal, he had the necessary trainings in preparations for his role as Konor. His enstoolment is thus timely as Agotime needed a strong, dynamic, and strategic leader to accelerate the pace of socio-economic development across the 37 Towns and Villages of Ago time, Ghana and Togo.

The new Konor during his speech pledged to unite Agotime, promote peace and development. He is expected to work closely with his Council of Chiefs and Queen Mothers in the coming days to celebrate the life and legacies of his predecessor, Nene Nuer Keteku Ill as he crosses over to his Ancestors.
