MP for Wa East motivates BECE Candidates towards Successful exams
As part of social intervention policies to improve on quality education in his constituency, the Member of Parliament for Wa East, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has presented mathematical sets and other examination writing materials to over 1000 candidates partaking in the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The Maths Sets were in addition to an earlier mock examination organized and sponsored by the lawmaker in the preparedness of the candidates for the main examination conducted by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).
Speaking to the media after presenting the Maths Sets, Hon Dr Jasaw reiterates his commitment to ensuring quality education in the constituency.
According to him, education is a powerful tool for both human and community development and he would do everything humanely possible to improve the standard of education, especially the performance index of BECE in the constituency.
“I am an MP today because of education and I want quality education to be accessible and affordable to all my constituents. I will keep doing my best to help push Wa East to the limelight,” the MP assured.
Dr Jasaw used the occasion to commend the District Directorate of Education for the working relations between the Directorates and his office and assured that he would continue to help improve quality education in the constituency.

He indicated that his doors remain open for further discussions on how best to bring more educational opportunities to the area, stressing that he is ready to support in any small way as MP to give hope to the future generation through education.
Some of the BECE candidates and teachers who were at the ceremony for the presentation thanked the MP and assured him and their school heads that with such assurance and expectation, they would do their best not to disappoint well-wishers.
