The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon Theresa Awuni has donated over 2000 mathematical sets to 2021 candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) within the constituency.

The donation, she said is part of her social intervention policies to support education within the constituency to improve students’ performance for quality education

Hon Theresa told EXPRESSNEWSGHANA, she remained committed to ensuring that every child in the constituency have access to education and urged to invest in the educational needs of their awards.

While wishing the BECE candidates the very best of luck in their upcoming exams, the MP urged them to take the exams serious as the exam serves as a bridge to their future success and failure in life.

She further urged them to go into the exams with a clear mind of what they had been taught and devoid of any actions that would lead to the cancellation of their exam paper, stressing that, education remained the only ladder they could use to climb higher in life.

Hon Theresa mathematical sets, pens and pencils to all the candidates, both public and private schools within the constituency.

The MP however expressed satisfaction with the working relationship she has built with the Municipal Education Office, and used the opportunity to thank the Municipal Education Director and her staff for the support.

She further encouraged the Directorate to keep knocking at her door and assured them of her readiness to join hands with them to improve education within the municipality.

Some of the candidates and staff the schools the MP visited expressed satisfaction with the MP’s performance and wished him well in her political career.
