MP for K pando donates Bull towards Togbe Asumadu VIII Coronation
The Member of Parliament for Kpando, hon Dela SOwah has donated a Bull and a carton of customary drinks towards the coronation ceremony of the Togbe Asumadu VIII of Dzigbe traditional Area of Kpando in the Volta Region.
The presentation, according to the MP is to support the traditional authority for a successful enstoolment of Asiafome Fiaga Togbe Asumadu III and the Mama Asumadusi IIV.
The donation to the traditional council on behalf of the MP was done by the Akpini Traditional House led by Togbe Amanu.
The team was accompanied by the Constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of Kpando.
The coronation will further pave way for the Dayibakaka festival which has not been celebrated for over three decades.
Hon Dela Sowah said she recognised the essence of traditional festivals in promoting unity in the country, hence the need to support the Coronation ceremony and the Dayibakaka festival.
She reiterated the importance of festivals in the country and how it helped boost domestic tourism for national development.
The MP however urged the people of Kpando to remain peaceful co-existent while seeking development.
The elders of the Dzigbe Royal House who receive the Bull and the Carton items expressed appreciation to the MP for the immense support towards the coronation and the festival.
