Member of Parliament for Central Tongu, Hon Alexander Gabby Hottordze has slammed the Majority Leader, Hon Kyei-Mensah –Bonsu failing to show leadership but rather exhibiting a high level of arrogance as leader of Government business in parliament.

The Central Tongu Lawmaker has further accused the Leader of the Majority Group of launching unprovoked attacks on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, unnecessarily accusing of bias.

The MP who was part of the Minority MPs that voted to reject the 2022 Budget statement and Economic policy of the government accused Osei-Kyei-Mensah Bonsu of his arrogance that led to the humiliation in parliament.

For him, it is irritating that Mr Mensah Bonsu is engaged in reactive/populist politics and attacks on the Speaker instead of delivering on his mandate.

“All that happened in parliament was because of the arrogance of Kyei Mensah-Bonsu,. Leadership is not about arrogance. Some of us are getting irritated by his reactive/populist politics, and attacks on the Rt. Honourable Speaker. Basically, he failed and must bow down his head in shame.  I am using this medium to let him know that he can never be like Bagbin. He should get that clear in his mind,” Hon Gabby said.

In his considered view, the Majority Leader and leader of government business ought to have a unifying behaviour but he has since exhibited a high level of arrogance and high-handedness.

He said it should be obvious to him that the composition of the 8th Parliament as it stands calls for tact and respect for each if Government business is to go through.
