The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Hon Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, has organised free Medical screening for his constituents.

According to him, the exercise was in line with his vision to promote the healthy condition of his constituents.

The periodic exercise held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the Presbyterian Church premises in Ashale Botwe within the Constituency, was to bring health care to the door step of people who cannot access care due to one reason or the other.

The MP, in collaboration with House of Medic, a United Kingdom ( UK) based Ghanaians philanthropist medical team helped screen more than 311 residents within the constituency to ascertain the state of their health and make appropriate recommendations.

Some health seekers traveled from Nanakrom,Nmaidjor, Sraha, Adiriganor, Adentan Housing Down, lakeside, and Ogbojo areas to partake in the screening exercise.

Speaking to Journalists during the screenings exercise, Hon Adamu Ramadan said this was just the latest effort by his office to ensure his constituents enjoyed an improvement in their lifestyles while also working to ensure the right laws are passed.

He said the program will be replicated in other parts of the constituency and would sustain for periodic exercise to cover every residents who need medical care but lack the financial resources to visit hospital.

The MP who is a member of the Health select Committee of Parliament reaffirmed his commitment to work hard to bring the needed development to the constituency.


A member of the House of Medic team, Dr Emma Amoafo-Mensah said her outfit partnered the Adentan MP to undertake the exercise in order to make healthcare affordable.

She said the residents are screen of High Blood Pressure, Anaemia, Diabetes Calculates BMI and Sugar levels.


According to Dr Emma, persons who partake the exercise are also given free Medical consultation and counseling on the need to be health conscious and control their diets.

Some of the Residents who received the free Medical care commended the MP for what they described as his selfless efforts in bringing healthcare services to them free of charge to improve upon their well-being.

They said the free health screening which was the first of its kind in the community by an incumbent MP was a timely intervention and necessary.

The exercises they said augmented some of the developmental projects the MP is already pursuing to alleviate their plights.

“I feel so excited and good about this help Hon Adamu, our MP is providing for us. I would like to commend the MP and plead with him to continue this exercise in ensuring that his constituents are healthy and fit always,” a beneficiary said.

Most of them were excited about the opportunity and thanked Hon Ramadan for the gesture and to some of them this was the first time such exercise was being done for the constituents.
