MP secures Nursing Training School for Sene west
The member of parliament for Sene west constituency in the Bono East Region Hon Kwame Ampofo Twumasi has disclosed that, through his lobbying skills, he has secured a land for the construction of a nursing training school in the constituency.
According to Hon Ampofo Twumasi, the chiefs and elders have agreed and make available a piece of land between Drobe and Lemu for the construction a nursing training school which could be the only and first time tertiary institution in the two Sene area.
He said this during a maiden MP’s youth employment program where he donated to some constituents 50 sewing machines, 33 hair dryers, three Tricycles, three sets of Jersey and footballs.
Currently, the Sene West constituency has no tertiary institution with the total population of 69,836.
The only higher in institution in the constituency/District is the only senior high school which was established some 31 years ago in Kwame Danso, the district capital.
Kwame Danso Senior High Technical school was established by the Government of Ghana, Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service on the 28th of January 1991 as a Day and Mixed School. The school is located in Kwame Danso, the district capital of Sene West District of Brong Ahafo region, off the Kwame Danso–Kete Krachi Road.
