Western Reg NDC Caucus visit Apeatse-Bogoso explosion Victims
The Western Regional caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in parliament on Saturday, January 29, paid a visit to the victims of the explosion at the Apiatse –Bogoso community.
The caucus led by the Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah was accompanied by the Western Regional executives to support the MP for Prestea Huni Valley Constituency, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe.
The caucus donated food items including cartons of cooking oil, bags of rice, loaves of bread, among others to the victims.
The visit and the donation was in solidarity with the incumbent MP, Hon Wisdom Cudjoe and the Chiefs and people of Apeatse-Bogoso for the loses.
Other members of the caucus were Hon Eric Afful, MP Amenfi West, Hon. Kwakye Ackah, MP Amenfi Central, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah , MP Amenfi East, Hon. Kofi Arko Nokoe , MP Evalue Ajomoro Gwira and Hon. Dorcas Affo Toffey, MP Jomoro.
The Western Regional Chairman, Nana Toku led his hardworking Regional team to collaborate with the MP’s to do the donations pledged on behalf of the great NDC to continue to support the victims.
The team first toured the accident scenes to get first-hand information on the ground and had interacted with the Disaster Management Committee of Prestea Huni Valley headed by the DCE of the District Hon. Dr. Isaac Dasmani.
After fruitful deliberations, the team also visited the palace of the Chief of Bogoso to console him and his traditional leaders.
The caucus also visited the new camp for the victims and fraternise with them and made donations.
Some of the regional executives who joined the team were the regional vice Chairman, Hon. Daniel Eshun, regional communication officer Richard kirk-Mensah and regional deputy secretary Charles Kojo Adu-Fordjour.
