NADMO Officer arrested after Audit Report Recommendation for Surcharges

A former official of the Savelugu National Disaster management Organization Alhassan Seidu Mahama with staff ID number 742465 who vacated post but his name continue to appear on the payroll of the organization has been arrested.

The Director General of NADMO, told Public Accounts Committee of Parliament on Thursday, March 17, when he appeared to clarify the issue as raised in the 2018 Auditor Generals report.

According to him, the culprits were arrested after serval effort to retrieve the money Proved futile.

The Auditor General has recommended, the former directors at the Savelugu NADMO office Mr Alhassan Sulemana and Mr Mahama Nasiru be surcharge if actions to block the salary of the defaulter , Alhassan Seidu is not taken.

The NADMO Boss revealed this when the chairman of the Public accounts committee Hon James Avardzi Klutse inquire from him on the status of the said recommendation.

Mr Alhassan has received up to the tune of GHS 43,846.92 currently.
