He stressed on the need to bring back persons who have been part of the party but for one reason or another have decided to be apathetic.

He emphasized, such members could not be left out in the quest to break the Eight.

” I will make it my personal business to tour the length and breadth of this country to unearth such people and bring them to join our fight.”

Mr. Opare Ansah who anchored his vision on quality political leadership and the use of political democratic process in the selection of leaders, believes the NPP as a party and individual members has a duty to project politics and democratization as a process of choice for Ghana to select it’s leaders.

“The Party has always had the leadership required for the challenge it is confronted with and whereas the current leadership has done its best in the past, current and future challenges ahead require a different kind of leadership mentality and approach given the dynamics of contemporary intraparty and external political environment”

He urged Ghanaians to have confident that, a political democratic process has a self correcting mechanism and always yield to the will of the people.

The event which was under the theme: Restoring the Grassroot faith in Breaking the Eight and beyond witnessed the presence of some former MPs such as Dr. Mark Assigbey Yebowa for New Juaben South, Mensah Joseph MP Kwesimimtsim, Adu- Gyamfi Mercy MP for Akwatia and several other party bigwigs..
