Senior Staff of the World Bank office in Accra will today, May 31, appear before the Education Committee to brief them on the USD 1.2 Million World Bank GALOP Saga

The Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum and his staff would also be haul before the committee over the scandal which has shaped the nation at the international level.

Also expected to appear before the Education Committee is the Director General of the Ghana Education Services, the institution hardly hit by the scandal.

Information EXPRESSNEWSGHANA, gathered indicated that the former Minister of Education, Dr Mathew Opoku is expected to also appear before the committee to tell his side of the story.

Deputy Ranking of the Education Committee Dr Clement Apaak who has been forefront to fight for accountability in the the $1.2 million said, the World Bank, the donor of the fund is key and it’s appearance will give insider details of the entire scandal which sought to deprive the nation of the needed resources for education.

He took to his Facebook and said, ” The committee on Education has summoned; the Minister for Education, Schedule Officer, Director General of GES, and the former Minister for Education to attend the committee on Tuesday, May 31st. The World Bank will also be engaged. Stay tuned!.”

The Committee is been Chaired by Hon Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah with Dr Prince Hamidu Armah as Vice Chairman, whereas Hon Peter Kwesi Nortsu-Kotoe as Ranking with Dr Clement Apaak as his Deputy Ranking.
