Be Careful with your Words, Once they are Spoken, they can only be forgiven not forgotten

This is not the first time Ghana has knocked on the doors of the IMF, but this time, some people have been humbled on our republic day.

This loud IMF entry noise is brought to you by kind courtesy of the solid team; Prof. Gyan Baffour, Akoto Osei, Alan Kyeremateng … add the others and conclude with the MC of the day Alhaji Bawumia who had worked at the bank of Ghana and was sure the money was there and we needn’t borrow!!! The chicken has come home to roost.

First of all, let me remind you Ghana just exited an earlier IMF program in 2019. 3 years down the lane, they are back into the arms of IMF. This is unprecedented and a mark of incompetence. Simply put, they couldn’t manage the affairs of Ghana on their own for just 3 years. How low should we bow down our heads?

They consistently shift responsibility to COVID-19 and later to the Russia Ukraine war, yet we are the only one in the Sub-Region begging for help from IMF. This should tell you the lies are at it’s wits end.

As a member of the IMF, it shouldn’t have been a big deal for them to come to our aid in times of difficulties but the words of “team Nana/ Bawumia” have made it a big deal. I will not bore you by repeating their chants, but for the saying “IMF is for failures”, it will keep ringing in my mind.

They thought they could cover the rot with E-levy, unfortunately nature has thought us that, you can not block your fart with poopoo. That gas will rather push the poopoo out. That is where we are now.

Consider the cost of passing the E-levy, and the financial lost to the state. Members of the majority being given GHC120,000 for community engagement which included Adjoa Sarfo who was at large. She even had the privilege of a chartered flight for her to come and vote and go back on her holiday. The finance minister was also going round the regions with an unlimited budget to sell the need for E-levy.

If this Nana Addo’s administration has not thought you any lesson to advice your children about honesty and discipline, you will need a special intervention from God.

In all these, we can not give up on our mother land. I still see a light at the end of the tunnel. Ghana will rise again. There are better days ahead
