MP for Akatsi South commends constituents for peaceful NDC Branch polls
The Member of Parliament for Akatsi South Constituency in the Volta Region, Hon Bernard Ahiafor has commended members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the entire constituents for the peaceful Branch elections held at last weekend as part of the process toward victory in the 2024 general elections.
Hon Ahiafor who made the commendation via Telephone with EXPRESSNEWSGHANA also thanked the people for voting en masse for the candidates whom he believed have the capability and comment to work hard to the victory of the NDC.
According to him, the peaceful and orderly manner of the constituency branch elections is a testimony of the people’s love for the NDC and the preparedness for the general elections.
He added that the NDC party is the only national political party that has the nation at heart and has been working tirelessly in the local level since 1993 to improve the socio-economic well-being of the people of the area.
He said the enthusiasm that characterized the Branch election was a demonstration of not only love for democracy in NDC but a sign that the NDC’s preparedness to save Ghana from the current system was mismanaged by the Akufo Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
The lawmaker for Akatsi South said the NDC would not relent in its effort to better the lot of the people of Akatsi, pointing out that the NDC and himself an MP were committed to rendering qualitative service to the people by taking the dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.
Again, Hon Ahiafor hailed the NDC members for the orderly manner they conducted themselves during the election in the 132 branches in the Constituency and charged the elected executives to work hard for victory.
He also commended the Constituency executives for ensuring that the branch elections were conducted peacefully without a breach of the order.
He assured the constituents that he would continue to do his best to ensure that the people got their fair share of the dividends of democracy.
