President Akufo-Addo has sacked the Officer in charge of the Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Col Rtd Kwadwo Damoah from office effective Friday, 26th  August 2022.

A letter dated August 26, 2020, asking Col Damoah to hand over the office as Customs Boss to his immediate Deputy did not assign any reason for his removal.

President Akufo-Addo has however thanked him for his services to the nation and wishes him well in his future endeavour.

Until Col Damoah was brought to the Customs Division of the  GRA, he was the man in charge of Manpower and Personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces as Director.

Col Damoah was in the news recently over alleged corruption involving the Auction of state vehicles which the Special Prosecutor signal its moves to investigate the activities of the Customs on the auction of state vehicles.
