The University for Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) has graduated a total of Four Thousand and Eighty two (4,082) students at all the four sessions of the 14th congregation.

This comprises of Eight Hundred and fifty One (851) post graduates, Two Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy-Three (2,373) undergraduates and Eight Hundred and Fifty-Eight (858) diploma studies.

The faculty of management Studies has presented One Thousand, Two Hundred and Fourteen (1,214) students for graduation out of which Nine Hundred and Nineteen (919) were undergraduates and Two Hundred and Ninety-Five (295) were diploma students.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of UPSA, Prof. Abednego F.O. Amartey was speaking at the fourth session of the 14th congregation ceremony for the Faculty of Management studies in Accra.

On new academic programmes, he said the University have received accreditation for the introduction of the Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting and Master of Philosophy in Accounting programmes and the Master of Business Administration in Corporate Communications for the 2022/2023 academic year.

According to him, there are other programmes at various stages of approval at the Ghana Tertiary Educational Commission (GTEC) including Doctor of Philosophy in International Security and Intelligence, Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies programme, Master of Arts in Digital and Strategic Marketing Management, Master of Arts in Media and Digital Communication Management, Master of Philosophy in Media and Digital Communication Management, Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Transport Management.

Touching on infrastructure development, he said the construction of Hostel B have been completed and forms part of a multi—million hostel project that have been embarked upon as the Hostel C is at its final stages, adding that a total of One Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty-Fourth (1,664) in UPSA students will accommodate the facility.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. John Ntim Fordjour advised students to be disciplined in every working endeavour and be good ambassadors of the University at all working jurisdictions, adding further that they must not forget their alma mater by supporting the University in its growth and development.

He however commended the management and staff of the University for the numerous programmes and initiatives they have embarked upon and explained that the drive will enable graduates to make a difference in the World of Works (WoWs).

In a related development, the University authorities used the occasion to commission the ultramodern Hostel B and is one of the two multimillion hostel projects that has been completed as students will be enjoying the facilities and amenities.

The second in line is Hostel C which is still under construction and is expected to provide accommodation for yet another One Thousand, Six Hundred and Sixty Four (1664) UPSA students.
