Curbing Terrorism: GAF to Host Maiden Int’l Defence Conference
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will host its maiden International Defence Exhibition and Conference, (IDEC 2022).
The Conference is on the theme: “strengthening international collaboration to combat terrorism and transnational organized crimes”.
It is being organised in partnership with Great Minds Events LLC (GM) Gulf of Guinea Maritime Institute (GOGMI) .
The two day event will take place on Tuesday October 11 to Wednesday October 12, 2022 at the Burma Hall inside Burma Camp, Accra.
A press statement issued and signed by the Director of Public Relations of the GAF, Naval Captain Michael Larbi, indicated that the event is expected to bring together delegates from the top hierarchy of the Ghana Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, military solution providers and other experts including panelists and speakers.
The statement emphasized that, the “main purpose is to deliberate on growing threats of terrorism and other transnational crimes that pose significant security concerns in the Region and strategies to address them comprehensively”.
