As part of activities marking his birthday celebration, Mr. Senyo Tsagli, Executive Director and Founder of Senyo-Tsagli Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, feted over 200 widows in some communities within the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The Charitable organization fete both widows and elderly women drawn from Bortianor, Oshiyie, Kokrobite, Aplaku, and Langba communities in the Ga South Municipality.

The Foundation also organized free medical screening exercises for the widows as part of its contribution to the healthcare needs of the beneficiary widows who were witnessing such a philanthropist gesture for the first time in their communities.

The Medical Team made of doctors, nurses and laboratory technicians from the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital screened the widow of various health cases including Malaria, High Blood Pressure, Blood  Sugar levels, and Hepatitis B, among other common illnesses.

The medical team provided free medication to those diagnosed with diseases and referred others to health facilities with complicated issues.

With the assistance of friends and relatives, the foundation distributed bags of rice, canned tomatoes, canned mackerel, cooking oil, tins of Milo, tea, sugar, and toiletries to the widows.

Speaking to the Media, Mr. Tsagli said his motivation to reach out to the widows was out of care and support for the elderly in society.

He however urged the widows to take their healthcare seriously and ensure they are registered on the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS)  to enable them to visit the hospital regularly for medical checkups.

Mr. Tsagli also expressed gratitude to the medical team, his friends and relatives as well as other individuals and organizations who supported him in diverse ways by organizing the health screening exercise and the donation for the widows.

He further assured of his commitment to care for the elderly and widows and said he would replicate the same in other communities within the municipality when the opportunity arises.

Some of the widows expressed appreciation to Mr. Tsagli and the Foundation for having them in mind and giving them free medical treatment and also donating food items.
