Our Legal Tender Is Ghana Cedi Not US Dollar
Yes the economy is under siege.Our currency, that is the Ghana Cedi is wobbling.
The cedi is receiving all the ‘slaps’ from dollar, pounds and euro.The three major currencies.
The guardians of our currency are the most confused homos.The guardians are led by the Governor of the bank, his two deputies and their officials.With huge titles.
They have failed in toto in helping the finance minister to salvage our ceding extension the economy.
They are only holding pressers talking grammar and misunderstood jargons.
They are taking more than the President, his Vice, the Speaker of Parliament and the Chief Justice.
These are the four persons the Constitution described as the most important persons.
These central bank ‘learners’ are not helping matters.As those who are to ensure that our monetary policy is stabilised, they are more confused than the currency itself.
A few days ago, they ‘fakedly’ caused the arrest of these black marketers which gave the cedis some bits of appreciation.After some hours, they are back doing their illegal and unlawful business.Ironically,some very close to the police.
I mean airport police stations , where both the District and Divisional stations are located, and nothing happens to them.They are freely doing their own thing with impunity.Only in Ghana.
It is alleged that majority of these lawless guys are foreigners from our neighbouring sister nations invading the country under the guise of ECOWAS Protocol.
The dollar has become our legal tender (illegal) and law enforcers are sleeping on their jobs, doing nothing, but dreaming and just issuing empty instructions and directives.
Their only objective is to be taking their fatty monthly salaries, driving v8 vehicles and taking large allowances.
It is sickening that those entrusted with power, authority and responsibility are allegedly aiding these criminals to cause this dislocation to our budding economy.They do business with them without any shame.
To our vendors and traders, they have become cheaters and wicked goons.They are only interested in profiteering and sapping the innocent customers.
Everyone goes haywire,making abnormal profits.Here too, the Trade Ministry has become a toothless bulldog doing nothing.
They will be exposed and their hoarding products will go stale.They will make huge losses.Covid 19 and the cost of sanitizers then.
Jokingly,everyone prices their products not in cedis but in dollars.Shame,!
Our leaders are pretending to be leading us and the followers are pretending to be doing same.
Ghana is being bled by its citizens: leaders and followers alike are milking and destroying it.
It is sad,
It is condemnable
And shameful.
My country, our country will survive even if its citizens and all will continue to act wickedly against it.
Ghana, still my happy home.
