Don’t risks our Victory for Your Personal Interest- NDC Zongo warns Feuding Aspirants
The Greater Accra Zongo Caucus Cordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Ismail Ali Horoya has called on Aspirants of the National Executives posts, especially the Chairmanship Aspirants to minimize their public utterance and accusation as such threaten the party chance of victory in 2024.
According to him, it is unacceptable for the leadership to engaged in political fight when the party has the biggest fight ahead.
He said, the party has a smooth and peaceful elections from the Branches, Constituency and Regional Elections without any of such in fighting and called called on all Aspirants to restrain themselves from.utterance that would derail the party victory in 2024.
Mr. Ali Horoya made the call during and interview with EXPRESSNEWSGHANA in Accra yesterday.
He said the Chairmanship Aspirants are good for the party and whoever win the Saturday, 17 December,2022 National Delegates Congress elections would need everyone on board, hence the public infighting must stop.
He warned that , the youth of the party are not ready to sacrifices the victory for any personal interest and would go all out to work and remove any leader whose actions and inactions would affect NDC chance.
The Zongo Caucus Coordinator also urged the newly elected National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo to stop the unnecessary public comments he engaged with Sammy Gyamfi, the national Communication Officer.
He said the youth of the party would not be distracted by such kind of unhealthy relations between any national executives for their personal interest.
He however urged the youth, especially those in Zongo Communities to remain resolute and rally the party faithful for a resounding victory in 2024.
The party, he noted is bigger than an individual and warned he would mobilise the youth against any person(s) whose action will affect the NDC chance.
Mr. Horoya reminded the party’s supporters of the huge task ahead of them to ensure the corrupt Nana Akufo Addo’s led New Patriotic Party (NPP) is kicked out of office come December 2024.
He again charged the supporters not to allow to be used against any of the national executives aspirants to divide the party united front.
Horoya was very optimistic that the party’s would win the national election but that would depends on the united front of the NDC come 2024.
The NDC goes to the delegate Congress tomorrow at the AC Ra sports stadium to elect it’s national Functional Executive Committee.
General Secretary Johnson Aseidu Nketiah and National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo are in keen contest for the national Chairman position.
Other positions been contested are general Secretary and deputies, national Organiser and deputies, national Vice, Executive members and deputy communication
Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the national Communication Officer is going unopposed.
