The Greater Accra Regional Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday, December 15, engaged all the Aspirants of the national executives posts for a clear message ahead of the Congress on Saturday, December 17, 2024.

The regional Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore said,, the engagement was to give the Aspirants the last opportunity to brief the region of their clear message and what they have in stock for the region when they win.

It was also to demand for commitment to unity after the Congress to enable the party enter the December 7, 2024 general elections with a united front.

The Regional Chairman said the engagement was the first of it’s kind as the region host the National Delegates Congress on December 17, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He charged the Aspirants to desist from personal attacks and character assassination as such has the tendency of breaking the party unity.


Mr Ashie Moore said the entire country is looking up to the NDC to rescue them from the claws of the corrupt and incompetent New Patriotic Party (NPP) government , hence the need for unity to recapture power.


The Aspirants present were the National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who is seeking reelection, Johnson Aseidu Nketiah who is seeking for national Chairman, Nii Armah Ashitey, National Chairman, Sherry Ayittey, National Vice, Elvis Afriyie, General secretary aspirant, Ako Gunn, Deputy National Communication Officer, Peter Boamah Otokunor, General Secretary, Kobby Balorn, Deputy National Organiser, Joseph Yamin, National Organiser, Aunty Araba, NEC member, Alhaji Kundow, Deputy National Organizer, Barbra Asamoah Deputy General Secretary, among others.

Samuel Ampofo and Aseidu Nketiah, earlier took turns to explain why they are seeking for the national Chairmanship and the vision they have for the party.


They all pledged to continue to work for the interest of the party no matter the outcome of the elections.
