Minority salutes NDC newly Elected National Executives
The Minority caucus in parliament has sent a congratulation message to the newly elected Executives of The National Democratic Congress (NDC).
A statement signed by the Minority Leader , Hon Haruna Iddirissu said the Minority is ready to work with the new leaders
CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO THE NEWLY ELECTED EXECUTIVES OF THE NDC
The Leadership and the entire NDC Caucus in Parliament extend its heartfelt congratulations to the Leadership, Council of Elders, Delegates and the entire NDC family for a successful and incident free National Delegates Congress held on Saturday, 1 7th December 2022. We particularly commend the Organisers of the Congress who worked tireless and over long hours to ensure that the Congress was a success. This is testament that the Great Akatamanso family has what it takes to deliver excellent results in diverse endeavours.
We further wish to congratulate the new National Officers on their victory at the just ended elections. While acknowledging their right to celebrate their electoral victory, we wish to urge them to be measured in their celebrations having in mind the pain of their colleagues who lost.
We also wish to appeal to dll• the losing Cdndidates not to abandon the ship but to team up with the new leadership to fight for the ultimate objective which is victory at the 2024 polls. We urge the new leadership to reach out to their colleagues who lost, build the broken bridges and seek theii support for victory
in 2024.
PARLIAMENT
We are aware that political contest times engenders conflicts arising from campaign messages and uthe respective candidates. The
present election is therefore not different. We therefore call on the Council of
Elders and the New Leadership, to as a matter of urgency, establish a
Committee that will seek to reconcile the various candidates and to encourage a unity of purpose in prosecuting the 2024 Victory Agenda.
We further wish to appeal to entire rank and file to bury their differences once the elections are over and to commit their loyalty to the Great NDC Party and support for the New Officers as we look ahead to wrestling power from the NPP. The Congress is only the first step towards realizing the ultimate objective which is VICTORY in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections and nothing else.
We once again congratulate the Organisers and all Delegates for a peaceful Congress. The Caucus in Parliament assures the New Officers of its unflinching commitment and support to the new Executives and to urge them not to hesitate in reaching out to the Caucus when the need arises.
We trust in the capabilities of the of newly elected Executives to cruise the Party to victory and lead our collective effort to unseat the NPP Government.
