Peace Watch Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that advocates of peace and security, has acknowledge the impact of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in the maintenance of peace and security in the country since his appointment.

In recognition of this, the group led by the Executive Director, Madam Diana Yonkop Daniels presented a portrait of the IGP and the wife, who the group considers as a strong, firm and Pillar behind the husband to excellently work for mother Ghana at the police Headquarter in Accra.

Madam Diana Yonkopa Daniels indicated that, her outfit as part of its mandate, monitors performances of the security agencies especially, Ghana Police Service and award personnel who performed creditably to motivate and inspire others to do same.

She stressed that, Peace Watch Ghana have closely monitored the performance of the IGP since he took office and have realized that, he deserves commendation for his good works.
“we should appreciate and reward people when they are serving the nation and not to wait untill retirement or in death”

According to Madam Diana Yonkopa, the IGP’s achievement is a product of a peaceful environment created at home by his wife adding that, to every successful man, there is a wife behind hence, the presentation of the portrait of the couples.

Madam Yonkopa expressed her joy to IGP’s wife for supporting the husband to give maximum protections to the nation at all material times,

She pledged that, her outfit would continue to support and award deserving security officers base on their competence, performance and hard work in the discharge of their service,

The Inspector General of Police (IGP),Mr. George Akuffo Dampare receiving the portrait on behalf of the wife and the entire family, thanked Madam Yonkopa and members of Peace Watch Ghana for the honor done to them and stressed that, he cannot claimed credit alone for what have been able to achieved so far since, it is a team work and therefore, share every glory with his colleagues.

He further entreated the youth to abstain from engaging in criminal activities in other to escape from the law but rather, concentrate on living in good life for God to give them a brighter future.

The IGP whom people referred to as humble, competent and very tough expressed his gratitude to Ghanaians for their support to fight crime, a collective responsibility to reduce and brought perpetrators before the law to deter others..
