“As a lifelong advocate for peace and social justice, I have dedicated my life’s work to promoting intercultural understanding, fostering respect for human dignity, and building bridges across communities.

Through my academic research, public speaking engagements, and community outreach initiatives, I have striven to create a better world where all people can live in harmony and peace.
Over the years, I have seen firsthand the devastating effects of war, conflict, and violence on communities around the world. From the ravages of poverty and disease to the trauma of displacement and exile, the human toll of these crises is immeasurable. And yet, despite these challenges, I have always remained hopeful that a more peaceful and just world is possible.

For me, ringing the Bell of Peace at FOWAL’s 2023 World Summit of Peace and Love in Washington DC was a powerful symbol of that hope.

It was a moment to pause and reflect on the power of collective action, and to remember that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, change is possible.

As I rang the bell, I felt a sense of solidarity with the other influential leaders who had come before me, and a renewed commitment to the cause of peace.”

Dr. Jacobs-Abbey’s ringing of the Peace Bell was a powerful symbol of hope and unity.

He also emphasized the importance of coming together and raising our voices for peace, as it can build a brighter future for all people.

“Moving forward, I believe that it is incumbent upon all of us to continue to work towards a culture of peace and love. Whether through grassroots activism, policy advocacy, or cultural exchange initiatives, there are many ways that we can make a positive impact in our communities and beyond.

By coming together and raising our voices for peace, we can build a brighter future for all people.

As I stood before the peace bell, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and humility.

Being the 492nd influential leader in the world to ring the bell and make a global wish for peace, love, and conscience was a profound moment that I will never forget.”
