Justice is being denied the people of the Upper East Region because the only High Court judge had been advised by the Chief Justice to leave the region because his life was in danger.
The judge in an open court chastised a paramount chief and his principal elders for trying to bribe him to turn the wheel of justice, which he declined.
Since he made that assertion or allegation, his life had come under attack by some inhabitants of the region, especially those from the paramountcy.
The Judiciary is the only arm of the state given the power and the authority to dispense justice to all, without fear or favour if the whole region with a huge population has no high Court judge, then Justice for the people will be adversely affected.

Judges in Ghana

I call on the national security, the police, the regional coordinating council, and the judiciary to come together and work out a strategy to ensure that the security of all including the officers of the court is guaranteed to enable them dispense justice quickly and fairly in accordance with the law.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
The Chief Justice who heads the Judiciary should with alacrity find a solution to this serious lacuna.
Justice for all is the way to go.
People are happy when they can get or achieve justice.
The law is to protect the weak and the vulnerable.
CJ, kindly act now.
