I Do Not Know But I Know ….
Dear Nyaaba,
I have no knowledge of the Bible, at least not enough to churn out quotes or to summon the Holy Spirit.
In matters of Islam i stand bereft of any knowledge except that beautiful story of The Prophet’s interaction with the irksome neighbour.
In matters of Native Wisdom l was under the impression that i had learnt a wee bit from my grandfather but i now stand askance since its latest incarnation.
Nyaaba what i know is that in all of these or some, there are crystal clear admonitions that when the clergy climb into bed with politicians the polity is doomed.
It is there somewhere that when the sighted elders of the chief see him naked and praise the glamour of his garb, the community is endangered.
Surely it must be somewhere that if the chief and his elders have problems fitting into their clothes while the people need more belt, the nation’s lot is dire.
Nyaaba, i do not know but i know that when power relies on brute force to exact compliance, the Social Contract is in jeopardy.
When the people pester the Almighty with supplications it means the mortal arrangement has failed.
But what do i know?
Siriguboy!
