The Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon Frank Annoh-Dompreh has denied claims that he said Ken Agyepong is not a presidential material.

At a campaign your, Kennedy Agyapong revealed an alleged attempt by Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, Frank Annoh Dompreh, to sabotage his campaign.

But Mr Annoh-Dompreh said there was no point in time that he made such comment and that when Ken Agyepong visited his consistency recently to campaign for his Presidential candidature, he (Annoh-Dompreh) supported him some of the expenses incurred in Nsawam Adoagyiri.

He confirmed he hold no qualm against Mr Agyepong and that his support for Vice President Dr Mahamud Bawumia, is not hidden, he is politically mature to lower himself into ghetto politics of insults and denigrating of others.

He however advised the NPP flagbearer hopeful to focus on his campaign.

The Majority Chief Whip described the development as unfortunate, stressing that Mr Agyapong had failed to reach out to him over the said allegations but rather chose to escalate it.

He thus called on the presidential aspirant to focus on his campaign and leave him alone, describing himself as a “small fly” focusing on his whip job in a difficult parliament.

“Me sitting my somewhere I am the punching bag, me, being punched by him because in his own estimation, he has heard that somebody says that I have said that he is not fit for president. It is never true, I can never describe him as somebody not fit for president,” Annoh-Dompreh said.

“You want to be president, I didn’t ask you to go and contest, so he should simply focus on his presidential bid.”

And then, he should focus on his presidential campaign bid, and leave me alone, let me concentrate on my responsibilities and my whip job… I have received more than 100 calls today, people asking whether I have a beef with Ken Agyapong…” he added.

Agyapong, was recently captured in an audio clip lambasting  the Majority Chief Whip over allegations that Annoh-Dompreh,  had constantly  referred to him as not fit to be president.
