Every African Country is represented by 5 Members of their national Parliaments at the Pan African Parliament (PAP) which is based in Midrand, South Africa. The PAP meets at least once every quarter in the year for about two weeks, but we the people of Africa never get to know what the continental parliament discusses or decides, because our country delegations do not account directly to us. This is why the African Parliamentary Press Network initiative – powered by us at Parliamentary Network Africa – finds it useful to demand accountability from PAP Members. We are happy that Hon. Alhagie Mbow and his delegation from The Gambia National Assembly has agreed to lead the way to inform their citizens through the press on all they have gone to discuss at the just-ended PAP Ordinary Session. We want to see more of these from the other countries. #OpenParliament
