BCM Refutes Slanderous Publication against Mahama Ayariga
BCM International has refuted the slanderous local news publication against Hon Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central and a legal counsel to the company.
The company clarified that Mahama Ayariga was appointed to act on the company’s behalf in its business interest at Jordan by the Chairman and sole shareholder of the company.
The company was responding to a contentious article published by online news portal AmaGhanaOnline.
The publication , according to BCM International is misleading and scandalous, as it sought to suggest that lawyer Mahama Ayariga, engaged in criminal enterprise involving forged documents to gain authority in acting for the company.
In a statement to clarify the issues, BCM International vehemently debunked the claim in the publication and demanded a retraction and apology.

BCM International clarifies relationship with Lawyer Mahama Ayariga (Member of Parliament for Bawku) 30 August 2023
BCM International’s attention has been drawn to a scandalous publication on an online news platform identified as AmaGhanaOnline.
The scurrilous and misleading article seeks to portray the Honourable Member of Parliament who is a lawyer of repute in the Republic of Ghana as a criminal who forged documents to obtain authority to act for the company.
BCM International wishes to state categorically and for the record, that the Chairman and sole shareholder of the company appointed Lawyer Mahama Ayariga to act on the company’s
behalf in its dealings in Jordan.
As ethical journalists, practicing under a code of conduct, BCM International would have expected the authors and publishers to do both the company and the individual being maligned, the courtesy of seeking clarification of the truth or otherwise of this slanderous
accusation.

BCM International demands from AmaGhanaOnline an immediate retraction, and an unqualified apology for this malicious, defamatory, unprofessional and libelous article, failure of which to do, would lead to legal ramifications for the author and publishers.
