The Cuban Vice President, Salvador Valdes Mesa has underscored the need for Cuba and Ghana to further deepen the bond of friendship that exists between the two countries.

According to him, Ghana has over the years stood in solidarity with Cuba in very critical moments without looking back and commended both past and present Ghanaian leaders for believing in the Cuban course.

Vice President Valdes Mesa made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban S. K. Bagbin in parliament on Tuesday,November 14,2023.

The visit was part of the Cuban Vice President 3-day official visit to the country.

Speaker Bagbin in welcoming the Cuban Vice President said the fight to create a new world order by the major super powers is the more reason both countries must continue to work closely together.
He assured the Cuba Vice President of Ghana would continue to work to strengthen the bilateral relations.

The Speaker said, Ghana has enjoyed favourable support from.Cuba in terms of medical field and would always stand by Cuba among community of nations.

The Majority Leader of Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu commended Cuba for it’s resilient effort to impact lives in the world with it’s medical and sports discipline despite the super power Western forces blocades.

He commended the Vice president for visiting the country and hoped two nations would continue to strengthen the relationship for mutual benefits.
