The Chairman of the Health Committee in Parliament Dr Afriyie Ayew has called for depoliticizing discussion on Renal care and dialysis treatment in Ghana.

He also urged that the issue surrounding the La General Hospital be subjected to the reasons why the structure was pulled down for reconstruction rather than politicizing it.

Dr Afriyie made call when he addresses members of the Parliamentary Press Corps after debating on the 2024 Budget statement and economic policym in parliwment.

He argued that the cost and care of such facilities must not take a political discussion.

According to him, politics would shift the focus in finding solutions to health care in the country.

He stressed the need for people to take their personal health issues seriously rather than relying on government at all time.

He explained that the cost of dialysis is so expensive and believed the Government won’t be in a position to shoulder all the cost.
