The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God , Ghana Rev Stephen Wengam , has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Kormantse in the Central Region , Nana Kwansah Panyin 111 . This was on the eve of the 2023 Graduation ceremony of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary( South Campus) located at Saltpond.
He was accompanied by the General Secretary of the Church, Rev Dr Ernest Birikorang, the President of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Rev John Boakye and members of the faculty.
Rev Wengam used the occasion to commend the chief for hosting the Seminary well . He also thanked his predecessor for releasing land for constructing facilities for the Seminary and protecting same from encroachment. Rev Wengam announced plans for a massive infrastructural development at the Seminary and requested for the release of more land for the project.
The General Superintendent observed that the presence of the school in the town has given it a face-lift and attracted a lot of goodwill for the community.
For his part, Nana Kwansah Panyin appealed to Assemblies of God to support the provision of development projects at Kormantse , including the construction of a community centre for social events .
Rev Dr Birikorang later prayed for the Chief and the community.
