Atiwa East Youth Picks forms for Incumbent MP re-elections to Continue her Good Work
Over forty-six youth, both male and female who have benefited various special intervention policies including employment have surprised the Member of Parliament for Atiwa East and Deputy Minister of Finance in charge of Revenue by picking her Parliamentary nominations form on her behalf as the Minister was busily defending 2024 budget allocations in Parliament.
The Minister In planing to pick her forms received information that some 46 members from the various communities and market women have already done that for her and have gone ahead to contribute for her filing fee.
Albert Antwi said he decided to lead the people who came to him due to the kind of a person their MP , Abena Osei-Asare is and the strong developmental and political strikes she is doing in the Atiwa East.
One of the beneficiaries told us “We expect not less than 80% and asking the delegates to give help us honour her for the massive support” adding “as for the testimonies of live transforming suppprt we have received from her, it will be for another day” she remarked.
The Constituency Secretary and other election Committe wishes them well.
Despite being era for the ruling NPP Party to initiate processes to contest in upcoming Parliamentary Primaries, The Deputy Minister of Finance Abena Osei Asare has been busy and present in each day right after the budget statement and economic policy presentation by Ken Ofor Atta.
She has been moving and representing and some time bartering with the opposition minority on some policies.
This gesture reduced the Atiwa MP, Hon Abena Osei Asare into tears of joy when the information got to her. Coincidentally, there were 5 critical motion of budget approval from the Office of Goverment Machinery/ Office of the President, National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), the Judiciary, Office of the Head of the Civil Service and the Ministry of Finance.
To extend that when the Minority’s budget to the hurdle from the Minority, at the time of voting, the MP has moved from the Majority side to sit and lobbied the Minority and subsequently got her budget passed.
When contacted the Minister who shed tears said her Christmas has come earlier and she was just discharging and supporting her constituents didn’t know it will turn this way.
She was very grateful to the young people who were led by the former constituency Chairman, Albert Atwi for the honour.
“The clearly tells me, I’m doing something right and their support, I shall do more, just as I was preparing to have my forms picked, I already got it and not only that to extend of readying to pay for it, I’m very grateful “ she added.
Mrs Osei-Asare added, elections are there but need to help keep my nation’s agenda first, you know the whole nation’s forward going in January 2024 depends on this budget and my constituents understand and appreciate that and I’m overwhelmed.
The Chartered Accountant is seeking re-election after serving in Akufo-Addo’ Goverment for 7 years as deputy Finance Minister and currently as Incharge of Revenue.

Employment, Social Welfare and State Enterprises Committee with a strong denature voice on the floor of Parliament.
