Member of Parliament for Kintampo North in the Bono East Region, Hon Joseph Kwame Kumah has received an Award as the Best male MP of the year, 2023, beating hundreds of male minority MPs across the country.
The award, presented by the Faks Investigative Services, said a detail investigation was conducted on all the 137 male minority MPs in their respective constituencies that adjudged the Kintampo North MP and Madina MP, Hon Francis Xavier Sosu as the best male minority MPs for 2023.
The awards celebrate the MPs who have actively worked with underrepresented and disadvantaged communities across his constituency over the last 12 months.
Kumah entered parliament in 2021 after winning the Kintampo North in December 2020, generall elections.
The MP has been working since then with the Chiefs and people of the area, a constituency with over 575 communities, where over 222 of the communities are farming.
He expressed his appreciation to Faks Investigative Services for recognizing her role and awarding her, saying, “this award motivates me to do more for my people. I feel a special responsibility to champion the interests of my people people, especially those on the Islands.”
“I am determined to do things differently, using my platform as a Member of Parliament to bring the necessary development to reduce the challenges facing my people,” Hon Kumah added.
He recounted some of the developmental projects which he successfully executed for the people, especially the deprived and far to reach communities in the constituency.
According to him, he has help in reshaping and graveling of some bad roads, building of health facilities, mostly CHPS Compounds, provision of scholarship to needy school children, erecting of pavilions for remote communities, and support for the disability persons, among others.
He again promised to work hard to justify the confidence reposed on him as MP and ensure that, they receive their fair share of the national cake.
Hon Kumah dedicated the award to his constituents, the NDC party and executives and her family and friends who have over the period remained faithful with her and supported her.
Lead Investigator of Faks Investigative Services said the Kintampo North MP was selected for the Award after a thorough investigation in her constituency concerning her work on the floor of parliament and in the constituency.

The recognition of Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah as one of the best performing Minority MPs reflects his contributions to the development of his constituency and his parliamentary work, as acknowledged by the assessment conducted by FAKS Investigative Services.
