“Bawumia is a total failure,”- Alhaji Nasiru
A former National Executive Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sheriff Nasiru on Monday came down hard on Vice President Dr Mohamudu Bawumia, describing the Vice President as a complete failure and disaster for the country.
Alhaji Sheriff who spoke to EXPRESSNEWSGHANA via telephone interview, lamented what he termed wasted years, emphasizing that history would not be kind to Akufo-Addo/Bawumia as they did not live up to the expectations of Ghanaians in the last seven-eight years.
“From the looks of things, Vice President Bawumia has betrayed the confidence of the Ghanaian masses, who voted for the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) massively into power. In 2016, Bawumia made many Ghanaians believed that he has solution to the nation problems but not known he was just a hype man,” Alhaji Nasiru berated.
The former NDC National Executive member was reacting to Dr Bawumia recent public lectures on his supposed Bold Solutions to revamp the collapsed Ghana economy under his watch as Manager should he win the 2024 presidential elections.
Alhaji Nasiru said it was not an exaggeration that members of many families in the country go to bed without at least one square meal while others had fled their homes because they could no longer provide the basic needs of life for their loved ones.
The NDC guru, who is known for his bluntness, expressed worry that after seven years of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration in power, there was nothing to show while poverty in the country had reached an unprecedented level.
He said the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led government failed to have any positive impact on Ghanaians, adding that, while a bag of rice now sold for between GHS600.00 and ghs7, 000.00 prices of other essentials commodities had tripled.
Alhaji Nasiru noted with dismay that prices of goods were rising at a time the ordinary man did not have money to make a living.
“My personal assessment is that Dr Bawumia failed completely in every sector. And it is very disheartening and heartbreaking that he failed in his number one job, which is to guarantee economic security of the nation and he failed and now want to be president,” Alhaji Nasiru said.
He reminded Dr Bawumia of his campaign promises, stating that, he did not like the way the masses were allowed to wallow in destitution and penury, stressing that, Ghanaians were in the worst condition that needed urgent change of government.
Alhaji Nasiru urged the Vice President to stop deceiving Ghanaians that the nation had no money, whereas on a daily basis the government and its Ministers continued to enjoy a boost in their allocations.
Furthermore, he asked Dr Bawumia to stop doing any political damage control, noting that, he is already a complete failure.
