Dr. Apaak Launches Apprenticeship Program for Builsa South Youth to Reduce Unemployment
As part of effort to reduce youth unemployment in his Constituency, the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr Clement Apaak has launched an apprenticeship program in the Constituency, targeting youth, both male and female particularly those dropped out of school.
Over 113 youth were on Friday, March 29, 2024, were offered the opportunity to be trained in ten (10) different trade disciplines which includes; hairdressing, dressmaking, welding and fabrication, carpentering & Joining, auto mechanics, air conditioning and fridge repairs, masonry and vulcanizing.
The Beneficiaries were provided with training tools and equipments valued over GHS 150,000.00 with cost of training being GHS 64,330.00 already paid to the master trainers by the Hon. Apaak.
Speaking at a short but impressive ceremony to launch the program, Hon. Dr. Clement Abasinab Apaak reiterated his desire as an accomplished educationist to provide the needed support to constituents in all spheres of life and not to give priority attention to only formal education seekers to the disadvantage of other areas of life.
The Builsa South Lawmaker further disclosed that the instant intervention is coming on the back of others including financial supports to about *236* students last year.
The event which was well attended by constituents was equally graced by the following Regional Executives and stalwarts: Mr Ibrahim Mutawakilo (Reg Orga) , Jonathan Abdalllah Salifu (Reg Comm Officer) , Mad, Fawzia Abagnama Yakubu (Reg Women Org),Mr Martin Aka-ere Ayamga(Bolga Central Chairman) and (Mr Rolanda Ayorogo), member of the reg working committee.
