MP for Kpando Celebrates Easter Festivities with the Less Privileges
Hon Della Adjoa Sowah, Member of Parliament for Kpando Constituency in the Volta Region, joined orphans and the less privileged to celebrate this year’s Easter in the area.
The event aimed to put a smile on the faces of the deprived children of the pioneer orphanage and some children from the Special School.
The MP joined the children to eat, drink, dance and play games.
She also joined the young men on Abanu park for their games. She partook in cards games.
While interacting with the children, Hon Della Sowah, emphasized that the gathering aimed to encourage them and to keep their hope in high spirits for their brighter days ahead.
The MP commended the staff for their continued support to the less privileged under their care and assured them of her commitment to provide policies and opportunity that would inure to their benefits.
She however urged the children to take their education seriously and as well respect their teachers and managers.
She added that, education is the only means by which they could rise to become leaders and good citizens to contribute to the development of their communities and charge them to stay away from anti-social activities that could derail their future.
The MP said Easter is a period of reflecting on the suffering Christ made for mankind and employed the children to emulate the humility and endurance of Christ in their lives.
The youth who were happy for having the MP with and commended her for the good works.
They prayed for her and asked that she continue supporting pupils and the youth in the constituency.
