Ahmed Writes :Mr Executive Secretary Please , Reconsider The Tone Of Your Letters
Nana Asante Bediatuo, is a lawyer of high standing and he is currently the Executive Secretary of the President of our country.,Nana Akufo Addo.
He mostly scribes official letters on behalf of the President. Those are communication to the officials of the state and the state institutions like the various .ministries, departments and agencies.
For some time now, I have observed that the tones of those letters he has been writing to the various officials and agencies are hostile, unfriendlyand uninspiring.
For instance, the letter he wrote to the to the Clerk of Parliament on the matter of the passage of the LGBTQ+, for its assent which has unnecessarily created a stand off between Parliament and the Executive arm of the state was the first in mind.
His other letter was the one addressed to the former Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, one Dr Tenkorang informing him of his dismissal as the DG.
I described the ltone of that letter too as uninspiring and too harsh.
No matter the sins committed by the gentleman, the words were hostile and disincentive to the current state officials.
At least, the man has rendered a service to the nation for seven solid years as a DG, and reading such a letter informing him of his dismissal should have sounded civil and gracious, not in that tone.
Nana Beadiato, I am pleading with you to change the style of your writing official letters.
Such tones bring hatred to the President, yourself and the government and some of us will not rejoice to see or hear you or the President being battered by the members of the public
Simple, friendly and civil letters will not harm you or your boss.
No condition is permanent as the saying goes.
I know a maid servant who now occupies a position of an employer with about 200 employees under his roof.Life!
My candid opinion
