Founder and Presidential candidate for the United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addae, popularly known as Odike has asked the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government, why they did not include the National Cathedral project and the seized and burnt excavators in their performance  tracker launched days ago.

He criticized the government on recently launched performance tracker that seeks to improve transparency and accountability in the completion of infrastructure projects nationwide, describing it as “empty and deceptive.”

According to him, the government tracker data launched by President Akufo-Addo contains a lot of unfounded projects basically to deceive Ghanaians, emphasizing that there is the need to have the claims of projects in the tracker investigated.

Odike, who has on many occasions berated President Akufo-Addo-led government, made these comments on Angel TV morning show program on Monday, April 15, 2024, monitored by EXPRESSNEWSGHANA.

While lambasting the government failed promises, the UFP leader asked why the government decided to leave out the Cathedral project and the burnt excavators if they were indeed good decisions taken.

He said,  “why the performance tracker did not include the National Cathedral project, the failed fight against illegal mining also known as ‘galamsey’ burning of galamsey excavators, and the excess borrowing.”

So far, Ghanaians have identified over 67 projects that were either not completed by government or completed by NGOs which the government claimed to have completed.
