Hon. Della Sowah pays Courtesy call on Awafia Ahotorvi IV
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpando, Hon. Della Sowah, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, paid a courtesy call on Torgbui Ahotorvi IV, Awafia of Fieve Traditional Area at his residence in Kpando Torkor.
The elevated Awafia was the former Assembly man for the Torkor area in Kpando, where he was born and bred.
Prior to his elevation, the Mankrado of Fieve traditional area commented on the excellent upbringing their son had received at Kpando Torkor.
As a result, he was selected as the best candidate for the important position of Awafia for the Fieve Traditional Area, hence his enstoolment.
In her remarks, Mrs. Sowah said she considered Torgbui as her son and felt honoured by his elevation and therefore was obliged to give him the honour that traditional authorities deserve.
She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to part of the Awafia’s upbringing.
The MP however urged the community to give him their support and as well accord him the courtesy he needed to perform his duties as the Awafia.
Torgbui Ahotorvi IV on his part thanked the MP for the courtesy call on him and to reiterate her support to the traditional area.
He added that, despite his elevation to Awafia, he remained a member of the Zepune group and promised his unflinching support at all times.
