Chieftaincy Remains Key Partners of Nation Devt- Mahama
Former President, John Dramani Mahama has re-echo the need for support of Chieftaincy and traditional leaders in the country’s development.
Mr Mahama made this comment when he inspected an ongoing construction of a meeting Hall at Jakpa Palace, the Overlord of the Gonja traditional area at Damongo, in Savannah Region.
He said the role of Chiefs in our community development remained pivotal, hence the need for collective effort as a nation.

H E John Mahama writes
I stopped by the Jakpa palace in Damongo to check on the progress of work on the new meeting area and residential palace I am constructing for the Overlord of the Gonja Traditional Area.
It is my strong belief that the chieftaincy institution plays a pivotal role in the development of our communities. Traditional leaders, with their commitment to peace, unity, and progress, are the backbone of our societies.
I will continue supporting initiatives that empower our traditional leaders and promote community development.
