The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God , Ghana , Rev Stephen Wengam, has visited Ashanti North Region on the second leg of his novel apostolic tour of the 24 administrative regions of the church.

The highlight of the visit was a meeting with pastors and their spouses, retired ministers and their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors at the Calvary Charismatic Centre in Kumasi .

The meeting was characterised by a three- hour, non-stop prayer session led by the General Superintendent.

His wife, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam presented cash and material gifts to retired ministers and their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors. The wives of all the pastors, whether present or absent, also received pieces of cloth. This was to inspire them to continue to give of their best for the Lord’s work, and help mitigate the economic hardship of the retirees, widows of deceased ministers and pastors serving in deprived or rural areas.
