In a significant reshuffle of parliamentary roles, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, has been appointed as the Ranking Member of the Private Member’s Bill Committee and as a Member of both the Human Rights and Judiciary Committees.

This development follows the recent adoption of new Standing Orders by the Parliament of Ghana, necessitating revisions in committee compositions.

Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, renowned for his legal acumen and advocacy in human rights, has notably spearheaded seventeen Private Member’s Bills since taking office.
His efforts have resulted in the successful passage of three bills by the House, with one having received Presidential assent.

Prior to his new appointments, Hon. Sosu served diligently as a member of the Appointments Committee and as the deputy Ranking Member of the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee.
