Former Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Mrs Georgina Woode has underlined the need for Christian professionals to use their financial resources, investment opportunities, skills- set and influential positions to help create jobs, fund community development, promote missionary work, train and mentor the youth , and foster entrepreneurship among the underprivileged.

“We are among those in key leadership positions who sit in boardrooms, negotiate deals and take decisions that shape the trajectories of entire communities, the nation , and the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. And it is these high- powered , high-stake arenas that the light of Christian professionals must shine the brightest.”
Mrs Woode was speaking at the re-launch of Assemblies of God Professional Network ( AGPN) in Accra.
She asked Christian professionals to be agents of ethical leadership by promoting righteous practices, transparency and accountability and challenging the status quo when it conflicts with Biblical principles.
The former Chief Justice described AGPN as a “powerful catalyst for kingdom advancement” and commended the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana Rev Stephen Wengam and the Executive Presbytery of the church “for their spiritual discernment and understanding of the times” in revamping the Assemblies of God Professional Network.

For his part, Rev Wengam acknowledged that Assemblies of God professionals have immeasurably lifted the image of the church by rising to such high profile positions as President of the Republic, Chief Justice, Majority Leader in Parliament, and Ministers of State.
He said “ Assemblies of God professionals have their lives stamped with divine purpose to make a world of difference in every area of the church’s operations, the nation and the world at large.” Rev Wengam particularly urged them to agents of peaceful elections in December.
He commended the Chairman of the Governing Board of AGPN, Mr Kwabena Adu- Boahene for embracing the task to mobilize all professionals in Assemblies of God, Ghana to help accelerate the church’s transformation and promote the members’ welfare.

Earlier, Rev Wengam opened an ultra- modern office for AGPN . He also presented a 4×4 vehicle to the Network.
