Nana Kwasi Kutua, Chief of Nkroful has showered praises on the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for his immense interventions and contributions in the celebrations of the Kwame Nkrumah Festival (NkrumahFest) over the years.

According to the traditional ruler, he had followed with keen interest, the indomitable role of Mr Armah-Kofi Buah since he assumed office as Member of Parliament in 2009.

Nana Kwasi Kutua was eulogizing the MP at Nkroful,the birth and original burial place of first President of the Republic of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah after the launching of his 115th birthday celebrations in Accra.

Dubbed,”A Journey to Nkroful”, the Nkrumafest celebrations are, among other things, to celebrate him as the founding father of modern Ghana and an icon in the African liberation movement.

Nana Kwasi Kutua described the Ellembelle MP as “another Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah”.

He also described Mr Armah-Kofi Buah “as somebody who bears the light of Ghana some other day”.

On behalf of the Chiefs and people of Nzemaland,Nana Kwasi Kutua  expressed profound gratitude to the MP and asked him not to relent in his efforts but continue the good works in Nzema land.

Nana Kwasi Kutua thanked chiefs and sub-chiefs under his domain for the overwhelming support towards the NkrumahFest celebrations.

The Chief said the NkrumahFest Planning Committee was working tirelessly to organize this year’s celebrations in a grand and mega style.

Nana Kwasi Kutua appealed to people from all walks of life to start the Journey to Nkroful from September 14 to 22 to witness the celebrations.

For his part, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah pledged his unflinching support towards the celebration of the NkrumahFest every year.

He said the sacrifices Dr Kwame Nkrumah made towards the African liberation struggle and his zeal to push for the independence of Ghana make him stand tall among all others.

Mr Armah-Kofi Buah said the achievements of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah still lives on decades after his overthrow.

He called on all who believe in freedom, unity and development to join the week-long celebrations from September 14 to 22, 2024.
