Ruach Elohim Ministries International (REMI) has expressed its deep gratitude to Ghanaians, the Obojo community, and all the esteemed ministers of God who joined the church on Sunday, September 8, 2024, to celebrate its first anniversary.

The church credits the success and growth it has experienced to God’s grace and guidance.

Founded by Rev. Dr. Ismaila Hans Awudu, REMI began with just four members in the visionary’s hall at Obojo, near Bright School Complex. Within one year, the church has grown to over 100 members.

Rev. Dr. Ismaila shared the inspiring story behind the church’s inception, explaining how it was born out of divine direction. He recounted how the initial gatherings, which included himself, his wife, their driver, and houseboy, were held in their home.

As the congregation grew, they moved from meeting in their hall to the veranda. Eventually, following prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, the church relocated to its current location in a car park.

Reflecting on the first year’s journey, Rev. Dr. Ismaila acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that those who trust in the Lord will always emerge victorious.

The “Isaac Principle”

Speaking on the theme “Rehoboth,” the General Overseer of the Conference of Baptist International Church, Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, urged Christians to adopt the “Isaac principle.” He explained that when society or circumstances try to take away what rightfully belongs to you, as seen in the Biblical story of Isaac, one must either shift or leave peacefully rather than fight back.

Using Isaac’s example of digging wells, Apostle Dr. Akam described how Isaac moved on peacefully when the people of the land seized the wells he had dug. He encouraged the congregation to remain calm and seek divine direction when facing challenges at work, in family, or in business.

Special Guests and Ministers of God

Abu Ramadan, Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency, graced the occasion, celebrating the church’s anniversary with the congregation. He also requested prayers for success in breaking the “one-term MP” trend in the constituency.

Several prominent ministers of God, including Apostle Abraham Lamptey, Rev. Dr. Francis Sey, Prophet S.O. Amankwaa, and Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, also attended and were a blessing to the congregants.

The week-long celebration, which began on September 3, 2024, culminated on Sunday, September 8, with joy, thanksgiving, and praise to God.

REMI Church, founded on God’s vision, aims to complement the work being done by churches and ministers across Ghana, serving the nation in its divine assignment. Rev. Dr. Ismaila expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of their anniversary and inauguration.
