In a bid to enhance educational opportunities in the Ayensuano constituency, Member of Parliament for the area, Teddy Safori Addi has launched a pro-poor education initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged but academically gifted students.

The initiative, named the “TEDDYCares Education Support Fund,” will initially benefit 40 students selected from various second-cycle institutions across the area.

The MP has allocated a seed capital of GHS 50,000.00 to kick-start the program, which includes the distribution of laptops to each of the beneficiary students, further facilitating their academic pursuits.

During the launch ceremony, Hon. Teddy Addi emphasized the critical role of education in community development.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to fully engage in their studies and to consider returning to serve their constituency after completing their education.

 “Education in Ayensuano has always been my top priority. The TEDDYCares Education Fund is designed to provide scholarships and educational support to needy but brilliant students in our community,” he stated.

As a member of the Employment and Social Welfare Committee in Parliament, Hon. Addi reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every child in Ayensuano has access to quality education.

“Education is the backbone of development, and empowering our youth through education is essential for the growth of our communities and the district as a whole,” he said.

He urged the students to strive for excellence and make their families and the constituency proud by taking their education seriously.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support, with many unable to contain their excitement at the opportunity provided to them.

This initiative marks a significant step toward bridging educational gaps in Ayensuano and highlights Hon. Teddy Addi’s dedication to fostering a brighter future for the youth in his constituency.
