The National Executive Committee ( NEC) of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council ( GPCC), led by the President, Apostle Eric Nyamekye has paid a visit to the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam in Accra , to commiserate with him on the loss of his mother, Mrs Deborah Wengam.

Apostle Nyamekye , who is also the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, conveyed the condolences of member churches of GPCC .

Vice President of GPCC, Bishop Gordon Kisseih told the bereaved family that “death is a gain for a christian because it is the access to God’s kingdom. “

For his part, Rev Wengam paid glowing tribute to his mother, saying, “She disciplined me well, and prepared me to fulfill God’s mandate.”

He thanked the delegation for their “show of unequalled love.”

NEC prayed with the family.

Apostle Nyamekye and Rev Kisseih later signed the book of condolence on behalf of the Council.

The Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel, Rev Eastwood Anaba has also led a delegation of the Chapel to commiserate with Rev Wengam.

Other members of the delegation were his wife Rev Mrs Rosemond Anaba, Rev Clement Ancheba, former Chairman of Fountain Gate Chapel and the current Chairman, Apostle Asiedu.

Rev Anaba admonished Christians to demonstrate the love of God towards each other, in times of pain and affliction. He called on the church in Ghana to pray with Rev Wengam’s family.

The delegation shared prayers with the bereaved family and signed the book of condolence.

Present to receive the delegation were the Executive Presbytery Officers of Assemblies of God, Ghana led by the Assistant General Superintendent, Rev Dr Godwin Tito Agyei. Others were Rev Dr Ernest Birikorang, General Secretary and Rev Dr Simon Abu Baba, General Treasurer.
