COUNTING THE DAYS, TO ELECTION DAY: The Lump in My Throat
O beloved Ghana, the dawn draws near, and with each passing day, our hearts swell with hope and anxiety alike.
We march together toward a future we cannot yet see but dream of fervently.
In markets and streets, in homes and on trotros , we carry that silent prayer, a prayer for peace, for unity and for leaders who will honor their promises.
Ghanaians, may we rise with strength and cast our votes, voices united, choosing with wisdom and courage.
Let our hands write the history of a just, prosperous Ghana.
May this election remind us that every hope, every fear, and every heartbeat counts in shaping our destiny.
For in our unity-in-diversity lies our strength, and in our resilience, our future.
When we choose, may we be guided by what’s good for all and NOT what’s good for me. May our thumbprints reward proven integrity and transparency and accountability.
We cannot while destroying the foundation of our nation, hope that the cherubim and seraphim will come to build it overnight, while we slumber, from fatigue unpicking the yarn that’s our country.#Kasise Ricky Peprah
