The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has announced the formation of a 5-member committee to oversee nominations for the highly anticipated 2024 PRINPAG Awards.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Association’s Executive Secretary, Jeorge Wilson Kingson.

The annual PRINPAG Awards recognize excellence in both print and online journalism in Ghana, celebrating innovation, originality, and editorial independence among media professionals. The awards aim to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in the industry.

The newly formed committee is chaired by Sir Ben Asorrow, with Mr. Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri serving as the Secretary.

Lawyer Ken Agyei Kuranchie, Awudu Mahama, and David Tamakloe round out the committee as members.

This group has been entrusted with the responsibility of nominating candidates across various award categories, in line with criteria set by PRINPAG’s National Executives.

In a bid to ensure transparency and credibility, PRINPAG has urged all members to support the committee’s efforts and recognize the critical role they play in preserving the prestige of the Awards.

The PRINPAG Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place in December, where selected nominees will be honored for their outstanding contributions to the media landscape.

As part of the preparations, PRINPAG has reminded its members to settle any outstanding financial obligations to the Association.

This is essential not only for maintaining good standing within PRINPAG but also for ensuring eligibility for potential recognition at the Awards.

PRINPAG calls on all members to contribute to the success of this year’s Awards and celebrate the achievements of Ghana’s media professionals.
