Akufo-Addo celebrates Ghana’s first female Vice President-elect

President Akufo-Addo applauds incoming Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, celebrating her trailblazing achievements as Ghana’s first female vice president.

Akufo-Addo was full of praise for Ghana’s first female vice president-elect when the incoming government from the NDC met the outgoing government at Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, to begin the transition process.

“For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a female Vice President. This is an achievement that deserves celebration from all of us,” he said.

He further extended his heartfelt congratulations to the President-elect and Vice President-elect, acknowledging their victory and wishing them success in their new administration.

The meeting will discuss matters such as the inauguration of a joint transitional team to oversee a smooth transfer of power.
